Every September and March, Barney’s New York hosts their “Bag Sale” where you get a cosmetic bag full of amazing samples when you spend $200 in their beauty department. Not a hard task, fortunately/unfortunately.
During a visit to Chicago, my sis Niki needed some cream, went into my sample bag and took a face cream that neither of us had ever heard of. Fast forward to several months later when I get a frantic call insisting that I track down this mysterious sample cream because it’s “literally the best cream I’ve ever tried. My skin is amazing!”
Introducing Tatcha’s Enriching Renewal Cream, a rich, lightly scented cream that provides a ton of moisture, plumps up your skin to remove wrinkles and leaves a healthy glow. It’s in the La Mer price range at $185 for a tub, but according to my sister, it’s WAY better.
Intrigued, I ordered some stuff from their travel sized face line and fell madly in love with their Camellia Beauty Oil. It’s AMAZING. It has gold flecks in it that gives your skin a slight shimmer. The moisture is perfect; so good that I often don’t even need a moisturizer over it. And it doesn’t leave my face feeling oily or weighed down.
One other true love from Tatcha is their famous, always sold out Kyoto Red Lipstick. Right out of the Geisha beauty regime, this lipstick is a matte true bright red that gives the perfect pop of color. It’s the most expensive lipstick I’ve ever bought at $55, but I adore it. Definite keeper in my rotation.
