I’ve been majorly jiving on a vintage jewelry kick as of late. Anything that has an old, authentic feel has been catching my eye. Vintage watch chains with dog clips, statement rhinestone necklaces, a graduated moonstone collar, perfect gold tassel charms: yes, yes, yes. Through my searches and worm-hole Instagram sessions, I’ve come across some amazing sellers. I’m almost weary to share my finds since I’ll now be competing with you, readers, for these one-of-a-kind gems…but so be it 😉
Diament Designs — An eclectic mix of vintage and handmade-based-on-vintage pieces. Their Etsy shop has a HUGE selection – you can get lost for a good while perusing their goods – and all their items are on trend: from signet rings to name necklaces to charms and chains. My favorite, which I picked up a couple of weeks ago – block letter “JENNY” necklace. Perfection.
Otherwise Engaged — True vintage pieces (= a little less forgiving on your wallet), but SO beautiful. Their Instagram shows their jewels being worn, so you can really get a feel for them before you take the plunge. I stumbled across this deco graduated moonstone necklace and fell madly in love. I adore moonstones – mystic and beautiful, and they change color depending on the light. Adore.
Addy’s Vintage — The first vintage store I fell in love with on Etsy. From rings to necklaces, diamonds to crystals – there’s no chance you’re not going to find something that you want, and that keeps you up at night until it’s firmly in your checked out cart. From London, Addy’s has TONS of classic, european pieces that are in trend now, just as much as they were then. Love.
HenryDominique — This refined collection of charms and chains is killer. Be prepared to start a new obsession like I did (my wallet is groaning), of vintage watch chains to wear as jewelry. You’ll literally want every single thing that you’ll see styled on Instagram, and then spend endless hours searching eBay, while making frequent return visits to her Etsy shop to see if anything new has been listed. Beware.
There’s something so magical about finding a pre-loved jewel. It has baggage (in the best way) and a history that you take on, and carry on as you wear it.
